Thanx a lot for the tips. Sometime ago I used an online link analyzer tool and it said my blogpage had over 300 links and blogs with over 100 links per page are considered link farms. Now u have included so many links in this post alone. No danger of ur blog being considered a link farm? I relocated some of the links on my blog to delicious and reduced the number of posts to 5 from 10. I got a PR of 3 in this updated and am aiming for 5 in the next one. Any suggestions?
Jhangora, good question and I do provide lots of external links but they are resources to my blog posts and visitors that are helpful to the related topic and these links are not added for my benefit related to revenue or in any course so this will not considered as link farm and so, also this doesn't over do anything related to off page optimization and if you feel you need to add such links without hurting your page rank do use rel="nofollow" in hyper link tag so that you can retain what you get :)
Now search engines are smart enough to find purpose of adding external links :)
And I give more importance for my blog readers rather than sticking to page rank and so, as well you need to know that external links in blog posts can also bring enough readers through bookmarking and so this can also build you inbound links :)

I believe in do follow Jag... Another thing is that google penalises for sponsored posts and I begin my posts with 'This is a sponsored post' as I respect the intelligence of Visitors...Shud I try and mask the sponsored posts?
